HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SCHEDULE … The days between Palm Sunday and Easter are the most meaningful and holy days of the entire year. Cherry Hill has numerous opportunities for worship and reflection as we journey with Jesus to the cross and then to the empty tomb.

Palm Sunday, April 14 – 10:15 a.m. Festive Worship Service                                      Palm Sunday procession with palms, children and adults. Special music by the choir.  and the sermon:  He Touched Me: Part 6 – The Fig Tree – “Cursing on Palm Sunday.”

Maundy Thursday, April 18 – 7:30 p.m. Communion Service in The Chapel             We gather with Jesus and the disciples in the Upper Room for a final meal together before the agony of the Garden of Gethsemane.            

 Good Friday, April 19                                                                                                                               12:00 Noon   Good Friday Service in the Chapel                                                            A  quiet, reflective 45-50 minute service of prayer and meditation

                7:30 p.m.     Service of Shadows                                                                                   This service uses scripture, music, and a gradual, growing darkness in the sanctuary to dramatically portray the death of Christ. Music will be provided by the choir and soloist Randall Nicholls.

 

Easter Sunday, April 21                                                                                                                                9:00 a.m.         Continental Easter Breakfast in Memorial Parlor

            10:15 a.m.       Festive Worship Service                                                                   Joyful hymns and anthems, Easter Lilies, and the sermon, He Touched Me: Part 7 – Mary Magdalene – “Someone Knows My Name”

11:30 a.m.         Easter Egg Hunt on the Front Lawn
