SOUPER BOWL CHALLENGE & SUPER BOWL LUNCH & BIBLE TRIVIA..

Our friends at St. Paul Lutheran Church have challenged Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church again this year to a Souper Bowl Challenge!  Each church is being challenged to see who can collect the most cans of vegetables and soup before Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019. As you might remember, Cherry Hill won the challenge the past two years! The coveted trophy has found a home in our building! All cans will be donated to our Helping Hand ministry. If you don’t want to bring canned goods, monetary contributions will be accepted as well – $1.00 = 1 can!  Will Cherry Hill be up to the challenge again this year? Will the trophy continue to reside in our parlor? It’s up to all of us! Start bringing in your canned goods next week! Donations may be placed in the wooden box underneath the showcase in Weir Foyer.

Then, on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, join us for lunch and our 2nd Annual Bible Bowl Trivia after worship.  Members of the Church Growth and Fellowship Committee are hosting this year’s Souper Bowl Sunday Luncheon. The Committee will provide salad, bread, and desserts. This year, members of the congregation will have the opportunity to sign up to bring a crock pot of their favorite soup for all to enjoy.  A sign up sheet is on the table in Weir Foyer for those wishing to bring soup. After lunch, the second annual Bible Bowl Trivia will take place! This was a great event last year and we are looking forward to another tasty fun-filled afternoon.
