MUSIC AT CHERRY HILL PRESENTS CHRISTIAN SCHOEN IN CONCERT

Our Music at Cherry Hill Concert Series is pleased to present our Director of Music & Organist, Christian A. Schoen, in concert on Sunday, March 18 at 4:00 pm. Christian began his ministry of music among us on November 1, 2017. Before coming to Cherry Hill, he served as Organist, Choirmaster, and Director of Music of Christ Episcopal Church in Norcross, Georgia. Other appointments include positions in Georgia, Texas, Ohio, and Virginia. In addition to recitals in the United States, Christian has performed in numerous cities abroad, including London’s St. Paul Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. His principal organ instructors include Marilyn Mason, Michael Murray, Larry Palmer, and Jens Korndoerfer. Christian is also the cofounder of the Lufter-Schoen Chorale, which is an ecumenical choir that travels across the United States singing Choral Evensong and Vigil Masses. For his first recital at Cherry Hill, Christian’s program will feature the organ works of Ashwood, Diemer, Fletcher, Walton, Franck, Wolford, and others. Please plan to join us for this very special afternoon of music featuring our own organist and our 1958 Austin organ! There is no admission charge. A free will offering will be received.
