Reverend Drew W. Tomberlin, Jr.
After graduating from college in 1981, Pastor Drew taught school for two years before entering Columbia Theological Seminary in the summer of 1983. Following graduation he was called to the Boston Presbyterian Church in Boston, GA and as a Chaplain to the Presbyterian Center at Valdosta State College, Valdosta, GA. In 1989 he was recalled to active duty as a Navy Chaplain assigned to the United States Marine Corps, 3rd BN 11th Marines and 1st BN 7th Mariners, 1st Marine Division, FMF, 29 Palms, CA. He participated in Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Jungle Warfare Training, Panama. After serving as a Military Chaplain he served as a Chaplain with the Federal Bureau of Prisons before returning to the local church. Before being called as the Senior Pastor of the Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, he served churches in Bremen OH and LeMars, IA. he will graduate with a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2010.

 

Dr. Luke Davis
Dr. Luke Davis has served churches in Toronto, southwestern Ontario and Michigan as Organist and Choirmaster. He earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance) from the University of Toronto and the Associateship (A.R.C.T.) from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, in Piano Performance. Luke earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario and taught for the Thames Valley District School Board (Ontario) with responsibilities in vocal music, classroom subjects and school librarianship. In 2001 Luke pursued graduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a concentration in Organ and Church Music. Subsequently he earned two Masters Degrees in Organ and Church Music (2003) and in Music Education (2005), while teaching courses in Elementary Music Methods and Music Theory at the University of Michigan. In 2008 Luke completed the degree, Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance: Liturgical, Church, and Synagogue Music, and the Certificate Program in Music Theory Pedagogy at the University of Michigan. Since 2003, he has been the Summer Administrator of the Mountain View Festival of Chamber Music and Song, held on the campus of the University of Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Davis is the Director of Music at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, Michigan and he is also a Sessional Instructor and Faculty Advisor for the Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor, Ontario.
